Delete your account

Deleting your CarLens account is permanent. It is different from signing out. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1 · Fastest

In the app

Open CarLens and sign in.
Open your Account screen.
Tap Delete my account, below "Forget this device".
Type DELETE and confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away, and the app clears your data from the phone.

Option 2 · No app needed

By email

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email support@shokeenstudio.com from the email address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my CarLens account".

We ask for it to come from that address so nobody can delete someone else's account. If you no longer have access to it, say so in the email and we will tell you how we can confirm the account is yours.

We will delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and reply to confirm when it is done.

What is deleted

Your account and sign-in. Your email and password stop working.
Your name, your profile photo and your email verification details.
Your record of how many AI results you have used.
Your email address, from our waitlist and any early-access list.
If you ask us by email: the usage analytics tied to your account in PostHog.
If you delete in the app: your wishlist, recently viewed cars, recent searches, compare list, quiz answers, filters and chosen city on that phone.

What stays, and why

AI comparisons and recommendations stay in the shared library. They are stored against the cars or the quiz answers, never against you, and other buyers read them. Nothing in them identifies you.
Usage analytics stay unless you ask us to remove them (above). They are tied to a random ID, not your email or name.
Your wishlist and other on-phone data live only on your phone. Deleting in the app clears them; if you ask by email instead, uninstalling the app removes them.
